BPI announced a permanent waiver of fees for all InstaPay and PESONet transfers to other banks and e-wallets, beginning July 1. The bank previously charged P10 for InstaPay transfers and P50 for PESONet. Meanwhile, the RCBC Pulz app will let users make up to 30 free InstaPay transfers per month.

Maya and GCash have both cut InstaPay fees to only P10, down from P15 previously. Maya retains free transfers for Maya-to-Maya and PESONet transactions. GCash's discount applies to InstaPay transfers up to the PHP 50,000 limit. UnionBank, PNB and BDO have also made transfer services free.

However, fee reductions are uneven — some institutions have permanent waivers, others have monthly caps, and some only lowered charges. There is still no uniform free-transfer regime.

InstaPay is used for small, urgent transfers with a per-transaction limit of PHP 50,000, operating 24/7 including weekends and holidays. On the other hand, PESONet has three clearing cycles at 10:00 AM, 1:00 PM and 4:00 PM. Online casino players should check their institution's PESONet advisory carefully.
